Anyway, after Madrid, my dad was here the entire week and it flew by! Some highlights include...
- Lunch at La Boqueria....good seafood...I had mussels. Dad really like those fruit juices that you can get there. I'll admit it...they are tasty.
- With WPO, Peter, Dad and I went and had paella at Opium Mar down by the beach. We met a lot of interesting people, but the unlimited food was delicious. It was actually my first time having paella....I wasn't all the impressed with the national dish. I'd much rather have EasyMac....uh oh....I am the ugly american. Whatever, I admit it. EasyMac is greater than Paella. Sorry Barca.
- We did a lot of walking around Ramblas and areas like that.
- A lovely taxi tour of the entire city, ending up at Montjuic Castle...one of the highest points in Barcelona. What an amazing view!
- A visit to the Chocolate Museum in Barcelona...the best part...the ticket to enter is a bar of chocolate. So clever!
- Found a cute store called D-Day or something where we got some great souvenirs.
- Dinner at Citrus Restaurant....so yummy. Highly recommended.
- Some of my girlfriends and I took my dad out to the clubs....good time!
- Lots of fun hanging out time...just having a great time in Barca.
- The ultimate highlight....the WPO Gala Ball on Dad's last night in town. I got to wear a fun long dress and it was in the Catalan Museum...up on Montjuic...another great view, but it was IN the museum. HOW COOL IS THAT! We had a great time. The food, the entertainment, the conversation, the memories were all fantastic.
- My dress in itself was a highlight, and it had matching shoes.
I cannot believe how fast the time went! Thanks for visiting Dad! I had a great time.
This past week...after Dad left.....was horrrrrrible. Tons of work, lots of stress, blah blah blah. Midterms are kicking my butt. School work is catching up to me. I've had a hard time sleeping. But I did go out with my roomies this past Tuesday....and we had a great time!
Now the other set of rentals are here. Life is busy with parents coming in and out of town. Not sure what we have planned yet, but I know it will be great! Hopefully I can update later on what we will do today. Not sure yet, as they are still sleeping. Jet lag is killer. I totally understand that. I have work to do anyway...1 quiz, 2 midterms and a photo project due next week. Thanks school.
Hope all is well with everyone else in the world. Happy March!
Besos!
